Non Associate-Level Positions

Job No. 5132 Program Assistant, Imagine Preschool
Salary: $10.00 - $11.41 (midpoint) 37.5 hrs/week M – F 10am – 6pm
The Program Assistant will float between the two Imagine classrooms during the day and then will be in charge of the after-school program. Build positive relationships with all children through responsive, respectful interactions in all aspects of Imagine programming. Build positive, respectful relationships through open, ongoing, and reflective communication with all Imagine faculty and staff. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; have a high school diploma or equivalent, and participate in an ongoing early childhood education development program. Applicants who are bi-lingual in English and Spanish are preferred. In addition, applicants’ must have the following qualifications:
A. BA required in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or similar major. Early Childhood certification preferred.
B. Experience working with young children in a high quality child care program
C. Demonstrated ability to relate sensitively and respectfully to children and their families.
D. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children.
E. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other adults as part of a staff team.
F. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and participate in a team.
G. Demonstrated ability to work with young children and ensure safety during indoor, outdoor and emergency situations.

Job No. 346 Maintenance Technician
Salary $23,750 - $30,000 (mid point) 40 hrs/wk T-Th 9am – 5:30, Fr. 8:30 – 5:30, Sat 7am – 3:30 (If Saturday work is not needed the work week will be M – F)
Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform new construction, general repairs, preventative maintenance and cleaning activities to equipment, utility systems and facilities as directed and in accordance with established procedures, approved practices and any applicable regulations. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance activities as directed. Document corrective and preventative maintenance activities as required. Clean, sweep, dust, mop as needed to maintain cleanliness of facilities. Troubleshoot equipment related problems and offer repair solutions. Perform skilled trades work (carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC, painting and the like). Make periodic inspections of premises to determine repair work necessary. Respond to calls to resolve problems with a positive attitude. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Operate a hand truck and use various tools, wrenches, shovels, hammers, saws, etc. Lifts and carries from 50-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job No. 183 Marketing Communications Specialist
Salary $32,500 - $45,000 (midpoint) 37.5 hrs/wk M – F 8am – 4:30pm
Work as part of a dynamic team responsible for promoting The Providence Center and establishing its brand as a high quality provider of behavioral health services. Assist with TPC efforts around content marketing, public relations, and overall brand strategy. Specific tasks will include: creating and write internal and external communications, grant applications, development content; and public relations materials, and working with the Senior Marketing Specialist to help develop a comprehensive social media strategy. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or a related field with a minimum of 3 years Marketing Communications experience developing and disseminating news to print and electronic media required. Basic understanding of behavioral healthcare, healthcare, and work in non-profit organizations strongly preferred. Must possess strong writing, interviewing, communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in news, feature and promotional writing, and knowledge of the latest marketing trends and concepts including content marketing and the application of social media in this effort required. Must demonstrate expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.

Master-Level Positions

Job No. 899 Clinical Therapist – Child and Family CAITS
Salary $32,500 - $45,000 (midpoint) 37.5 hrs/wk M,W,F 10am – 6pm T & Th 9am – 5pm
To provide community based therapeutic services to children, adolescents and their families. Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers. Treat consumers with respect. Perform in a calm and professional manner during crisis or emergency situations. Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV). Perform and record mental status examination. Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others. Master degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field and relevant clinical experience with children and/or adolescents and their families. LICSW/ LMFT/ LMHC preferred, as well as training/ experience in substance abuse treatment. Must have experience with community based work and/or severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. LCDP preferred.

Job No. TBD Clinical Nurse Specialist
Salary: $50,000 - $72,000 (midpoint) -  Full-Time Permanent Schedule TBD. The Providence Center is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner. Assesses and functions as the primary psychiatric prescriber for mentally ill consumers in an outpatient medical setting, makes appropriate referrals and performs in liaison role between consumer and PCHC medical staff, family and/or other community providers. Services are provided to children, adults, in an individual, family, and/or group setting. Health needs range from simple to complex and are focused on the promotion of optimum wellness, disease prevention and integration of primary and mental health care. Based out of the PCHC Clinic on 369 Prairie Avenue, Providence, RI. MSN, RI Psychiatric Nurse Clinical Specialist Certification/Advance Practice Registered Nurse. Licensed for prescribing privileges. Experience providing direct service to children , youth and adults. Knowledge of the managed care process. Experience and licensure to be credentialed required. Spanish fluency desirable.

Emergency Services Clinicians (after hours) 12:00 midnight - 8:00 a.m.
(Hourly rate varies base on experience). Per Diem, including nights to provide outpatient services after hours for Center consumers at local ER Hospitals.  Evaluate and make recommendations regarding treatment.  RN or Clinical masters degree and experience with crisis intervention required.

Fee-for-Service Clinician - BHOP
To provide outpatient psychotherapy either at The Center. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master degree in Social Work and relevant clinical experience. LICSW/LMHC with 3 year post licensure and LCDP required. Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.

Fee-for-Service Clinical Therapist - Child and Family 
Work with children, adolescents, and their families providing outpatient therapeutic services. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field and relevant clinical experience required. LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT required. 3 years post-license experience preferred.  Must have experience with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Fee-for-Service Psychologist - Child and Family
Provide psychological evaluation and testing, as well as provide psychotherapy to consumers in our Child and Family Program. Ph.D in Psychology with emphasis on children, Rhode Island licensure, and several years of clinical experience with children and their families required.  Generous compensation, comparable to private practice take home!  Benefit and pension eligibility a possibility if you meet the minimum hours requirement.

Fee-For-Service Psychiatrist - BHOP
Join The Providence Center and become part of a well-respected community mental health center.  The Center provides a wide spectrum of outpatient and residential services.  Job responsibilities are varied.  Board certification or eligibility is required. Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting is preferred.
