Employees from Dominion Energy Manchester Street, Inc.,
a power station located in Providence, Rhode Island, producing electricity for Rhode Island and Massachusetts, recently purchased 24 new winter coats for students at The Providence Center School, a school that provides a unique learning environment for children and adolescents ages 3 to 21 who have emotional and behavioral difficulties.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity of the staff at Dominion,” said Dale K. Klatzker, Ph.D., president/CEO of The Providence Center. “Seeing a child arrive at school in December wearing little more than a sweatshirt is something we see all too often. Many of the children we serve are from low-income families struggling to make ends meet. These new winter coats will make an immediate difference in their lives."
